About the position

The HR Pre-boarding Specialist at UC Health is responsible for facilitating the pre-boarding and credentialing process for new hires across various disciplines. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and effective communication with candidates and UC Health departments to ensure a smooth transition into employment. The specialist will assist the talent acquisition team and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while managing various HR transactions related to the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a pre-boarding ambassador, providing exceptional customer service to candidates during their pre-boarding phase.
  • Assist the talent acquisition recruitment team in operational success related to pre-boarding processes and policies.
  • Coordinate the processing of pre-boarding functions, including background checks and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Process hire transactions and manage I-9 documentation and collection of necessary paperwork such as licensure and certifications.
  • Ensure timely completion of all hiring processes and credentialing requirements to enhance team efficiency.
  • Work within standard work processes to improve policies and procedures related to pre-boarding.

Requirements

  • Experience in human resources or a related field, particularly in pre-boarding or onboarding processes.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with candidates and internal departments.
  • Knowledge of federal and state compliance regulations related to hiring and employment processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
