About the position

The HR Preboarding Specialist at OU Health is responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive preboarding experience for all new employees, contingent workers, and students. This role involves communicating preboarding requirements, validating regulatory requirements, and managing HRIS data entry, while also addressing any questions new hires may have regarding their preboarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the administrative aspects of employee, contingent worker, and student preboarding, including new hire paperwork completion.
  • Ensure all new hires experience a positive preboarding experience.
  • Maintain data integrity of new hire information entered into the HRIS system.
  • Ensure compliance with OUH policies and procedures regarding initial minimum requirements for positions.
  • Process Employment Verifications through E-Verify.
  • Create initial employee files.
  • Monitor and respond to emails, phone calls, and related tasks regarding preboarding and hiring.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams to ensure a seamless preboarding process.
  • Assist with and/or manage special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Human Resources or Business degree preferred.
  • 1 or more years of professional work experience required; 2 or more years in Human Resources preferred.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, phone, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail orientation.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws as they apply to human resources.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage small project assignments as necessary.
  • Ability to work with confidential materials and maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred working knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday.
