About the position

The Workday Release and Test Analyst will oversee the deployment of Workday updates and enhancements, ensuring quality through comprehensive testing of HR systems. This role involves collaboration with HR, IT, and other business units to facilitate seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Workday HCM and project management skills, with a focus on detail and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify testing scenarios and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for HR system updates and enhancements.
  • Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's testing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Track defects and issues, working closely with HRIS teams to resolve them.
  • Coordinate and track thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not impacted by new updates.
  • Validate data integrity and consistency across different modules and integrations.
  • Plan and manage the deployment of Workday updates, enhancements, and new features.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Assess the impact of Workday updates on current business processes and systems.
  • Prepare documentation for Product Leads to communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Workday HCM, with a focus on release management, quality assurance, or similar roles.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QA tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with change management strategies and documentation.
  • Knowledge of HR business processes and systems.
