About the position

The HR Systems QA Analyst and Workday Release Manager will oversee the deployment of Workday updates and enhancements, ensuring quality through comprehensive testing and collaboration with HR and IT. This role focuses on planning, executing test plans, and managing the release process to maintain seamless business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify testing scenarios and develop comprehensive test plans for HR system updates.
  • Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's testing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Track defects and issues, working closely with HRIS teams to resolve them.
  • Coordinate thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not impacted by new updates.
  • Validate data integrity and consistency across different modules and integrations.
  • Plan and manage the deployment of Workday updates and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
  • Coordinate testing across the team and build test scripts for automated testing.
  • Assess the impact of Workday updates on current business processes and develop change management strategies.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports on release and testing progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Workday HCM, focusing on release management and quality assurance.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QA tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR systems beyond Workday.
  • Knowledge of additional QA methodologies and tools.
