About the position

New York Health Care, Inc., a licensed home care agency with 37 years of operation, is seeking a Bilingual English/Spanish Home Care Recruiter for our Bronx office. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday and primarily involves office work, with limited field recruiting responsibilities. The recruiter will be tasked with recruiting Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) across the tri-state area and Westchester County. The role includes preparing advertisements and job postings, attending job fairs to present employment opportunities, and maintaining personnel files in compliance with New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) regulations. The recruiter will handle all functions related to the hiring process, from interviews to orientation, and will build and maintain relationships within the community to develop referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) throughout the tri-state area and Westchester County.
  • Prepare advertisements and job postings for open positions.
  • Attend job fairs and present employment opportunities to the general population.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with NYS DOH regulations.
  • Perform all functions related to the hiring process from interview to orientation.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the community to develop referral sources.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Reliable transportation to cover field appointments and visits throughout the tri-state area and Westchester County.
  • Excellent written, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently; detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and follow up.
  • Able and willing to cover other offices if necessary.
  • Previous health care experience, preferably in HR, compliance, or recruiting.
  • Knowledge of NYS DOH personnel hiring requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of HHA exchange software system.
  • Previous home care recruiting or marketing experience.
  • Knowledge and proven record of relationships with referral sources such as training schools.
