About the position

The HR Recruiter position at Magna International Inc. is a permanent, full-time role focused on providing recruitment and selection services for the Human Resources and Leadership team. The recruiter will manage the full lifecycle of the recruiting process, ensuring the delivery of highly qualified candidates while promoting the Magna brand across various markets. This on-site role involves maintaining excellent relationships with hiring teams, candidates, and the community, and requires a proactive approach to sourcing and talent management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life cycle of the recruiting process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates and recruiting activities.
  • Work cooperatively with the staffing team to develop and implement staffing plans.
  • Develop ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
  • Coordinate job fairs and foster relationships with local organizations and schools.
  • Manage the internal job opportunity process.
  • Present up-to-date recruitment and selection data to leadership and auditors.
  • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of hiring managers.
  • Prescreen candidates and create prescreening questions for hiring managers.
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills and experience.
  • Manage scheduling and logistics of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to changes in talent acquisition practices.

Requirements

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in full lifecycle recruiting, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Recruiting experience using social media (i.e. LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) is required.
  • Ability to present in front of large groups of 30 or more people.
  • Customer focused, adaptable, with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
