About the position

The HR Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist at Wellmore Behavioral Health is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the recruitment and onboarding processes for the organization. Reporting directly to the Human Resource Director, the Recruiter is responsible for managing the full cycle of recruiting for all open positions within the company. This includes advising key stakeholders on effective recruiting practices, developing and implementing recruiting strategies, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and negotiating job offers. The Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist is also tasked with onboarding new hires, ensuring that they have a smooth transition into the organization and are aligned with the company's mission and values. As a member of the Human Resources team, the Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand the specific requirements of each position and the overall business needs. This collaboration will help in creating and executing tailored recruiting strategies that attract the best talent. The Recruiter will coordinate various aspects of the hiring process, including conducting reference and background checks, verifying licenses, scheduling pre-employment physicals, and generating offer and regret letters. The role requires maintaining a pipeline of pre-qualified candidates, managing the recruitment process, and delivering timely updates to the HR Director. In addition to recruitment, the HR Recruiter/Onboarding Specialist will also serve as the primary contact for the Intern Program, planning and coordinating recruiting events such as career fairs. The position demands a high level of confidentiality and compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as the maintenance of accurate personnel records. The Recruiter will also conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify trends for continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with hiring managers and leadership to understand position requirements and business needs to create and execute recruiting strategies.
  • Coordinates the hiring process including reference and background checks, license verification, verbal offers, scheduling of pre-employment physicals, orientation scheduling and generation of offer and regret letters.
  • Assures the hiring process is efficient and serves as an appropriate introduction to the organization for new colleagues.
  • Responsible for the full cycle recruitment; development and maintenance of a pipeline of pre-qualified candidates, virtual interviews, making job offers, creating offer letters, scheduling drug screens, verifying references, and gathering new hire forms.
  • Reviews solicited and unsolicited applications/resumes. Screens appropriate internal and external applicants.
  • Manage recruitment process, sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates while building and maintaining a network of potential candidates.
  • Delivers well-timed recruiting activity updates and scheduled reports to HR Director.
  • Ensure timely response to inquiries and requests from employees.
  • Serves as primary recruiting contact for the Intern Program, including planning and coordinating all recruiting events such as career fairs and hiring events.
  • Works with HR and hiring managers to develop and edit job descriptions and external job advertisements.
  • Extends offers and manages negotiations to secure candidate acceptance.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and new employee orientation when needed.
  • As a representative of Wellmore, attend career fairs and job fairs virtually and in-person as needed.
  • Builds relationships with employees, managers, and outside vendors while developing a positive reputation as a Human Resources and recruitment advisor.
  • Conducts staff exit interviews, shares feedback and identifies trends to make recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Remain current on all state, federal and local employment related legislation and regulations as well as human resources industry trends to maintain ongoing compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Manages HR files in accordance with the requirements established by the Dept. of Public Health and the Joint Commission ensuring proper maintenance of confidential employee information.
  • Oversees maintenance of accurate and complete personnel records. Ensures that rules concerning confidentiality and retention are followed.
  • Provides regular updates to Director of Human Resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a healthcare/behavioral health services environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong sourcing experience and knowledge of applicant tracking systems, as well as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Advanced working knowledge of HRIS.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resourceful and well organized.
