About the position
The HR Recruiting Coordinator at Smith Gardens plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Department, particularly the Merchandising group. This position focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining employee records, ensuring a smooth hiring process and a positive experience for new hires. The coordinator will be responsible for various administrative tasks related to recruitment and orientation, contributing to the overall growth and success of the team.
Responsibilities
- Posts and pulls down all Merchandising positions to Cyber Recruiter and Indeed
- Screens and dispositions all merchandiser applicants
- Conducts phone screens and routes candidates to supervisor for in-person interviews
- Sends Onboarding Checklist to new hires
- Acts as point of contact for all new/rehires throughout orientation process
- Runs E-Verify for new hires
- Runs background checks for all hires
- Completes data entry of new hire forms and separations
- Assists with maintenance of HRMS record
Requirements
- HR experience required
- Proficient with MS Office suite required
- Strong customer service mindset with a positive approach
- Skilled in teamwork, with the ability to effectively collaborate on ideas and strategies
- Quick learner, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-energy setting
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong integrity and commitment to confidentiality
- Self-motivated, flexible, and open to change
Nice-to-haves
- Recruiting or strong customer service experience preferred
- Experience with operating systems preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
