About the position

The HR Recruiting Coordinator at Smith Gardens plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Department, particularly the Merchandising group. This position focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining employee records, ensuring a smooth hiring process and a positive experience for new hires. The coordinator will be responsible for various administrative tasks related to recruitment and orientation, contributing to the overall growth and success of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Posts and pulls down all Merchandising positions to Cyber Recruiter and Indeed
  • Screens and dispositions all merchandiser applicants
  • Conducts phone screens and routes candidates to supervisor for in-person interviews
  • Sends Onboarding Checklist to new hires
  • Acts as point of contact for all new/rehires throughout orientation process
  • Runs E-Verify for new hires
  • Runs background checks for all hires
  • Completes data entry of new hire forms and separations
  • Assists with maintenance of HRMS record

Requirements

  • HR experience required
  • Proficient with MS Office suite required
  • Strong customer service mindset with a positive approach
  • Skilled in teamwork, with the ability to effectively collaborate on ideas and strategies
  • Quick learner, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-energy setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, with strong integrity and commitment to confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and open to change

Nice-to-haves

  • Recruiting or strong customer service experience preferred
  • Experience with operating systems preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
