About the position

The HR & Recruiting Specialist at Brda Electric is a newly created role focused on enhancing the company's HR functions, particularly in recruitment and employee relations. This position is integral to fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting leadership in various HR aspects, including onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruitment process: write job posts, source candidates, prepare interview guides, conduct interviews and extend job offers
  • Foster a positive, values-aligned workplace culture
  • Organize company events and activities that bring the team together
  • Conduct new employee onboarding
  • Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement equitable compensation practices and competitive reward programs
  • Manage annual career development discussion process
  • Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations and compliance with employment laws
  • Develop and uphold HR policies and procedures
  • Facilitate the annual culture survey and help interpret results to develop actionable plans
  • Oversee training and development programs including tuition reimbursement, apprenticeship programs and safety training
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Provide miscellaneous office support to include travel arrangements, ordering supplies and occasional phone coverage

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Sharp attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, or Google Docs and Sheets
  • Ability to build professional, positive relationships with both internal teams and external vendors

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Bamboo HRIS is a plus
