About the position

The Human Resources Representative - Benefits is responsible for administering the benefits program at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. This role involves tracking, coordinating, and communicating with Team Members, benefit vendors, and management to ensure effective benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Enrolls Team Members in benefits with insurance carriers.
  • Cancels and replaces benefits deductions as needed to reflect changes in Team Member coverage.
  • Creates and maintains Team Member benefits files to document enrollment, changes, and beneficiary information.
  • Processes terminated Team Members through the benefits administrator.
  • Performs weekly New Hire Enrollment meetings.
  • Assists with annual Open Enrollment meetings, periodic 401(k) workshops, and annual Team Member Benefit Events.
  • Responsible for file management on active benefits as well as past benefits for current and terminated Team Members.
  • Partners with appropriate parties to ensure compliance with the ACA and plan policies.
  • Prepares letters and reports as directed.
  • Provides guest service in-person, telephonically, and electronically with routine Team Member questions and assistance.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 1 year Human Resources or post-secondary coursework or related field in administration required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.
  • Competent with various PC-based software programs such as Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of AS400 and Infinium software preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Skill in operating standard office equipment such as a calculator, copier, fax, telephone, and computer.
  • Ability to organize and maintain filing systems and schedule agendas, events, and meetings.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a pleasant and effective working relationship with staff and the public.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
