The HR Shared Services Center Advisor II at Navy Federal Credit Union serves as a trusted advisor to employees by addressing HR-related inquiries and providing guidance to both internal and external customers. This role involves identifying, researching, and resolving HR issues while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Maintain knowledge of HR services and answer or appropriately route employee inquiries pertaining to moderately complex HR programs, processes, procedures, and communications
  • Analyze and interpret a range of moderately complex issues; select methods, processes, or tools to meet needs, and coordinate solutions efficiently and accurately
  • Resolve or arrange for resolution of operational/processing issues, inquiries, and complaints
  • Provide guidance to internal/external customers and stakeholders regarding moderately complex SSC processes and HR services
  • Perform functions in adherence to defined service level agreements
  • Ensure compliance with all HR related policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to include developing and executing test cases, communication with project teams, validating and documenting results
  • Research, analyze and determine cause/impact of moderately complex errors/omissions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, programs, to improve processes and reduce errors
  • Perform on-going quality control to ensure efficiency and accuracy of basic processes and procedures
  • Perform research and partner with senior staff to provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Experience in positions which reflect the ability to work independently; exercise sound judgment; display a high degree of initiative; and manage multiple priorities effectively, preferably in a Human Resources or Shared Services function
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of various Human Resource issues, services, and systems
  • Effective skill following, interpreting, and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations
  • Effective database and presentation software skills
  • Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

  • Advanced customer service focus and relationship management skills

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Experience in human capital management systems
