About the position

The HR Specialist (Military) position at the Department of Defense involves managing the Military Personnel Information Management/Records Program. Responsibilities

  • Manage the Military Personnel Information Management/Records Program.
  • Monitor and manage officer and enlisted evaluation functions.
  • Identify problems and recommend solutions related to military personnel actions.
  • Provide guidance to military personnel, family members, and officials on military personnel functions.
  • Establish and maintain control of HQDA selection boards for various military promotions and actions.
  • Oversee the in and out processing of soldiers to and from the installation.
  • Manage the Department of the Army Military Awards Program.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience managing military personnel services programs such as Military Personnel Records, Evaluations, Promotions, and Awards.
  • Master's degree or equivalent graduate education in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience.
