About the position

The HR Specialist at GAI Consultants Inc. plays a crucial role in managing human resources functions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the HR team and across the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, along with the ability to mentor junior staff and manage various HR projects. The role is designed for individuals with a solid background in HR, who can independently evaluate and adapt standard techniques to meet the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms or documents.
• Answers employee questions about human resources policies or offerings.
• Schedules interviews, orientations, or training sessions.
• Collaborates with HR Team to draft job descriptions.
• Processes employee status changes or benefit requests; maintains records of completed transactions.
• Inputs HR-related data and compiles standard reports for management review.
• Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of HR projects occasionally.
• Assists with preparation of project scopes, schedules, and plans for assigned projects.
• Occasionally assigns tasks to other technical and non-technical staff.
• Mentors junior staff by providing guidance, explaining responsibilities, and reviewing work products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in HR or related field.
• Certification through SHRM (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SPC) or HRCI (PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred.
