Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for estimates of liability, including back pay or debt calculations.
  • Advise on discrepancies involving inaccurate time and attendance records, overpayments, and underpayments.
  • Assist the finance and accounting office in providing payroll information requested by auditing firms.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave and pay issues.
  • Resolve complex questions related to debt management, garnishments, and benefit deductions.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government.
  • Experience advising on employee leave entitlements and time and attendance systems.
  • Proficiency in researching and resolving technical issues related to pay and compensation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with federal payroll systems such as DFAS, ITAS, BIIS, ECHM, eOPF.
