About the position

The HR Specialist at WakeMed is a pivotal role that focuses on enhancing employee relations within the organization. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support to both managers and employees in addressing performance and behavioral concerns. The HR Specialist will engage in crisis intervention and mediation, ensuring that conflicts are resolved amicably and efficiently. This role also plays a significant part in organizing and facilitating employee programs, activities, and events that foster a positive workplace culture. In addition to direct employee support, the HR Specialist will monitor the employment security commission processing and assist in management preparation. This includes overseeing budget and expenses related to employee relations initiatives. The role may also involve conducting analytical projects that pertain to employee relations, such as market turnover and retention surveys, analyzing turnover trends, and generating HRIS reports. The HR Specialist will be expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive employee information and issues. Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business is required.
