The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting this mission by ensuring that all HR-related processes are executed efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible for ongoing accurate data submission and must demonstrate the ability to perform independently across various Human Resources areas. The specialist will ensure that employee files are kept current and that all required documentation is received in a timely manner. This role requires a high degree of computer knowledge and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with associates and support the HR function. The Human Resources Specialist will provide administrative support to the HR department, which includes tasks such as benefit enrollment, new hire processing, and managing a variety of projects. Additionally, the specialist will collect and analyze HR data, maintain employee HR records, and oversee license and certification renewals. The role also involves ensuring compliance with various Joint Commission required documentation, which is essential for maintaining the standards of care at East Alabama Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and be able to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure ongoing accurate data submission related to Human Resources functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources is required.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with associates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
