The HR Specialist I position at US Tech Solutions is a vital role within the HRConnect service centers, which are dedicated to providing exceptional HR and Payroll support to employees and managers. This position is based in North Chicago, Illinois, and operates on a daily schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The primary focus of this role is to enhance the customer experience by addressing routine inquiries related to the HR service catalog, which includes areas such as HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Management. As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for managing employee and manager self-service support, opening tickets or cases for inquiries, and utilizing standard screens, scripts, and established procedures to resolve issues efficiently. You will leverage various resources, including policy manuals and knowledge databases, to provide accurate information and guidance to employees and managers. This role also involves executing select HR-related transactions, such as data changes, and escalating more complex inquiries to Tier II Functional Specialists when necessary. Documentation is a key aspect of this position, as you will be required to record all employee inquiries, issues, and transactions in case management tools. Additionally, you will have opportunities to participate in continuous improvement workshops and ad hoc projects, contributing to the overall enhancement of HR services and processes.
