About the position

The HR Specialist II at LG Energy Solution will act as a business partner to the leadership team, managing routine HR functions such as hiring, employee relations, and policy administration. This role involves overseeing payroll and benefits administration for approximately 230 employees, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting talent acquisition efforts. The position requires a strong background in human resources and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the leadership team to execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department, including direct reports.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR team members on complex issues.
  • Support the talent acquisition process, including recruitment and hiring.
  • Assist in oversight of employee relations matters.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on trends and best practices in human resources and employment law.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration as needed.
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators for disability claims management.
  • Administer COBRA enrollments and manage unemployment claims.

Requirements

  • Strong background in human resources business partnership.
  • Knowledge of payroll, benefits, time & attendance, and HRIS systems.
  • High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive situations.
  • Understanding of HR processes, payroll, and benefits procedures.
  • Analytical skills for creating actionable reports from data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven time management and follow-through skills.
  • Previous HR Specialist or HR generalist experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ADP and SAP systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean.
