About the position

The HR Specialist for Provider Onboarding at Wake Forest Baptist Health is responsible for creating a seamless onboarding experience for healthcare professionals, including faculty, physicians, and advanced practice professionals. This hybrid role involves both remote and onsite responsibilities, focusing on facilitating onboarding processes, providing support to new hires, and ensuring compliance with onboarding procedures. The specialist will also develop employment contracts and manage a dynamic workload to align with the organization's commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct and verify all necessary documentation for onboarding, including pre-credentialing forms and educational transcripts.
  • Organize all pre-employment screening, scheduling, and orientation tasks to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Prepare tailored clinical employment agreements in collaboration with departments and recruiters.
  • Oversee electronic and hard-copy employee records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Generate and analyze monthly reports using Oracle Core Connect and MS Excel to provide insights into recruitment and onboarding metrics.
  • Maintain positive relationships with department leaders and new hires to address questions and support smooth onboarding.
  • Prepare files for external agency reviews and assist with credentialing compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate business processes impacting workflow and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Support the team with additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and one year of relevant HR or recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle Cloud and Workday is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hospital or academic medical center setting.
  • Experience with provider onboarding.
