About the position

The HR Specialist (Recruiting & Onboarding) is responsible for managing the full cycle of recruiting and onboarding new team members. This role involves collaborating with department managers to create job descriptions, conducting interviews, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires. The position is primarily remote with some in-office requirements and offers opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
• Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
• Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Creates and maintains personnel files.
• Conducts pre-employment and onboarding processes including background checks, drug testing administration, employment verifications, and new hire orientation.
• Performs all offboarding duties including exit interviews and other company policies.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in HR or related field.
• Strong understanding of recruitment processes and employment laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
