About the position

The HR Specialist - Recruitment and Onboarding at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is responsible for managing the full spectrum of recruitment and onboarding functions. This includes collaborating with hiring managers to develop job positions, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, and facilitating onboarding processes at state-operated facilities. The role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-service focus, and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and market job positions in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Source candidates through job boards and career events.
  • Schedule interviews and conduct pre-employment checks.
  • Make verbal and written job offers to candidates.
  • Facilitate on-site onboarding at state-operated facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field and two years of professional experience in human resources management.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related degree and one year of professional experience in human resources management.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for job-related requirements.
