About the position

The HR Specialist position at Indelible Solutions is a temporary contract role focused on assisting disaster survivors in navigating recovery processes and connecting them to essential services. The role involves community collaboration and outreach to raise awareness of available resources for individuals affected by disasters, particularly following hurricanes.

Responsibilities

• Assist survivors navigate the recovery process and connect them to appropriate resources and support available at disaster recovery centers.
• Assist colleagues with tasks and projects as directed by your supervisor.
• Promote a culture of equity and inclusion within the team.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with survivors, vendors, management, and colleagues, tailoring information to meet the needs of the audience.
• Develop and maintain professional, trusting relationships with supervisors, staff, survivors, and vendors, responding with empathy and respect to all inquiries and concerns.
• Show up on time, dressed professionally, and work effectively under pressure, maintaining a calm demeanor.
• Provide situational reports on assigned activities and community impact.
• Coordinate with your supervisor to distribute outreach materials to raise community awareness as necessary.
• Collaborate with community leaders, nonprofits, and government agencies to maximize program reach.

Requirements

• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a level 2 background screening.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with disaster survivors and/or social services programs.
• Familiarity with community-based resources and referral systems.
