About the position

We are looking for a dedicated HR Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for updating HR policies, enhancing our HR page, creating standard operating procedures for global mobility, and handling other HR-related tasks. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our HR practices are aligned with current industry standards and legislation. You will also be tasked with improving the user experience on our HR page, ensuring that it provides up-to-date and relevant information for our employees. Additionally, you will design Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for global mobility, which will help streamline processes and improve efficiency within the organization. Your responsibilities will also include conducting exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees, which will help identify areas for improvement within our HR practices. You will review and process Excellence Awards to acknowledge and reward outstanding employee performance, as well as generate and analyze Konnect reports to inform HR decisions and strategies. Furthermore, you will handle the review and processing of Matching Gifts and Tuition Reimbursement to support employee development initiatives. Utilizing ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now will be essential for various HR functions, and you will ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your excellent communication and auditing skills will be vital in maintaining high-quality HR services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update key HR policies to ensure they are in line with current industry standards and legislation
  • Enhance the HR page to improve user experience and provide up-to-date, relevant information
  • Design Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for global mobility to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar HR specialist role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
  • Experience in Auditing, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with HR Compliance and legal standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
