About the position

We are offering a role for an HR Specialist in the construction industry, located in Kent, Washington, United States. This position is a project-based contract role that will require you to support the HR team in various tasks, with a particular focus on 401(k) audit support. The HR Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the HR team in carrying out a 401(k) audit, specifically focusing on non-union employees. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information as requested, acting as a second set of hands to locate documents for the auditor. Handling sensitive and private information with discretion and confidentiality is paramount in this role, ensuring compliance with HR regulations and standards. In addition to audit support, you will utilize your HR experience to pull reports, work in spreadsheets, and manage personnel files. Your contributions will enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR team by taking on data entry and filing tasks. You will also be expected to use your understanding of HR compliance to support the team's efforts. Familiarity with various software tools, including the MS Office Suite and ADP, will be essential for day-to-day tasks. There may also be opportunities for training and potentially transitioning to a hybrid work model after the initial on-site training period. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now, as well as familiarity with Ceridian and About Time software. Proven experience in auditing and compliance within the construction industry is highly desirable, along with previous experience in managing 401k - RRSP Administration. A solid understanding of Benefits Administration and Benefit Functions, as well as knowledge of Employee Benefit Plans and Retirement Benefits, will be critical for success in this role.
