About the position

The HR Specialist at DataFielder Inc. is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with HR policies. The role aims to foster a healthy workplace by ensuring smooth HR procedures and maintaining updated employee records. The HR Specialist will also be involved in training programs, safety audits, and community engagement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and onboarding of employees, including creating job requisitions and coordinating offer and pre-employment activities.
  • Generate necessary reports for payroll and HR, coordinating all HR-related documents for job/employee status changes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate various training programs in compliance with OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and assist with employee relations issues and vendor/supplier communication.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure rules, regulations, and CBA information is reviewed and understood.
  • Assist with employee recognition programs.
  • Participate in various aspects of safety, including safety audits and delivery of training programs.
  • Compile and analyze monthly and annual statistics, preparing and distributing various reports.
  • Assist the HR Manager with Community Engagement activities and other corporate initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in navigation of HRIS and other related systems (Workday, ATS, ADP, eTime, PeopleSoft, ArcPlan, Aspen, or related).
  • Intermediate knowledge of employment law.
  • Exposure to OSHA reporting, regulations, and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with standard Manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
