The Talent Specialist will serve as an internal consultant to leaders and key stakeholders to effectively lead all aspects of the Talent Acquisition process. Reporting to the L&D/Talent Business Partner, the Talent Specialist will provide strong and effective leadership, direction, and professional expertise in all areas of sourcing, recruiting, selecting, and retaining talented individuals for the property. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization attracts and retains high-quality talent that aligns with its core values and operational needs. In this position, the Talent Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, screening, recommending, and hiring both exempt and non-exempt personnel. This includes managing the internal transfer and promotion process, writing and presenting offers of employment, and planning and executing creative sourcing activities such as career fairs, student recruitment opportunities, and partnerships with military organizations and culinary schools. Establishing strong relationships with hiring managers is essential to ensure that job descriptions accurately represent the openings and are approached from a marketing and candidate attraction perspective. The Talent Specialist will also collaborate with department leaders to strategically source and recruit candidates based on the organization’s core values and the attributes of current top talent. Utilizing feedback from focus groups, new hire check-ins, and exit interviews, the Talent Specialist will continuously improve the recruiting process and retention strategies. This role requires a credible, responsive, and knowledgeable team that sets clear expectations and provides ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members. Additionally, the Talent Specialist will implement and oversee processes to ensure compliance with all applicable employee relations regulations and laws, evaluate business practices, and drive process improvements within Human Resources, particularly in talent attraction and retention. The role also involves contributing to the strategic planning of Human Resources, supporting community-oriented activities, and partnering with Learning & Development to ensure leaders are skilled in behavioral interviewing and other talent selection techniques. Overall, the Talent Specialist will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment and maintaining strong relationships across departments.
