About the position

The HR Specialist will oversee the management of independent contractors across our clinic operations. This role is essential for maintaining a compliant, efficient, and productive contractor workforce. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with contractual obligations, maintain up-to-date independent contractor licensure, and manage payment requests. The HR Specialist will be responsible for the onboarding and offboarding processes for independent contractors, ensuring that all contracts and agreements are properly documented, signed, and stored. Additionally, the specialist will monitor contractor assignments and track performance using our management software, approving payment requests from independent contractors while ensuring accuracy and compliance. In terms of compliance, the HR Specialist will ensure that all independent contractors comply with contractual obligations, company policies, and relevant labor laws. This includes regularly reviewing and updating contractor agreements to reflect legal requirements and company standards, as well as maintaining up-to-date records of independent contractor licensure and certifications. The role also involves efficiently using and managing contractor information within our HR management software, training contractors and internal staff on the use of relevant HR systems and tools, and generating reports and analytics from the management software to inform decision-making and compliance monitoring. The HR Specialist will verify and maintain records of all necessary licenses and certifications for independent contractors, ensuring timely renewals and updates of licensure to prevent lapses in compliance. Collaboration with contractors will be key to ensuring all required documentation is up to date and accurately filed. Furthermore, the specialist will review and approve payment requests from independent contractors, collaborating with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate payment while addressing any discrepancies or issues related to contractor payments. As the primary point of contact for independent contractors regarding HR-related issues, the HR Specialist will foster positive working relationships with contractors to ensure satisfaction and retention, addressing and resolving any conflicts or disputes in a timely and effective manner.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years focused on managing independent contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to independent contractors.
  • Understanding of independent contractor licensure requirements and compliance.
  • Experience with HR management software and payment processing systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in compliance and payment processing.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
