About the position

The HR Specialist at Assistance Plus will play a crucial role in supporting the employment life cycle and ensuring exceptional customer service for all employees. This position focuses on recruitment, onboarding, and facilitating orientation for new hires, while also maintaining effective communication with supervisors and managers to align HR services with the agency's mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support the employment life cycle and HR processes.
• Execute day-to-day HR tasks to provide exceptional customer service.
• Assess and anticipate HR-related needs.
• Communicate proactively with supervisors.
• Formulate partnerships with individual managers to deliver value-added service.
• Focus on recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Facilitate weekly orientation for new hires.
• Process background checks and update recruitment materials.
• Maintain a presence on social media.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of related experience in a human resources administrative capacity.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid State of Maine driver's license and automobile insurance coverage of $50k/$100k.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with the full employee life cycle.
