About the position

The Benefits and Leaves Administrator will manage leaves of absence and benefits administration within the Information Technology industry. This role involves handling a high volume of employee-related tasks and inquiries, ensuring effective communication with employees, managers, and vendors, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Handle leaves of absence from start to finish, including processing requests, creating necessary documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, managers, and vendors regarding leaves of absence.
  • Manage the high-volume email inbox, ensuring all requests and tasks are addressed by end of day.
  • Assist with benefits tasks such as open enrollment, communicating with carriers and vendors, helping employees with enrollment, and handling inquiries on medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.
  • Conduct regular reporting duties, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Review and process documentation for qualifying life events.
  • Create and finalize documentation such as benefit guides.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects such as benefits surveys and 401k audits.
  • Utilize software tools such as ADP, Workday, and Microsoft Office for various tasks and duties.
  • Maintain a proactive, responsive approach to all tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years dealing with leaves administration
  • Minimum of 4 years dealing with benefits administration
  • Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now and Workday
  • Demonstrated skills in auditing, compliance, and data reporting
  • Experience in administering benefits, including open enrollment and benefits administration
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of leave administration, including handling leave programs, requests, and leaves of absence
  • Familiarity with laws related to leaves such as Family Medical Leave (FMLA), ADA Accommodations, and Short Term Disability/long Term Disability
  • Ability to manage and coordinate leave programs and processes.
