About the position

Get Fresh Companies is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our growing team. The HR Specialist will play a key role in supporting various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and fostering positive employee relations. This role requires a bilingual candidate (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate across our diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Support the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new employees.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Address employee concerns and escalate matters as necessary to the HR Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including I-9s and personnel files.
  • Assist with open enrollment, benefits questions, and day-to-day benefits administration.
  • Liaise between employees and benefits providers to resolve any issues.
  • Assist in the coordination of employee training programs, both for compliance and professional development.
  • Track training completion and manage related documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain HR metrics reports as requested.
  • Provide HR-related data and analysis to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required - must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and labor laws.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software - ADP preferred.
