About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the HR department by managing various functions that contribute to the overall effectiveness of our workforce. The ideal candidate will have two years of experience and be Tri-lingual (English/Mandarin/Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sourcing activities and set up interviews to fill open positions.
  • Complete employee onboarding, orientation, and verifications (i.e. employee eligibility, Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files).
  • Monitor all employee attendance and scheduling.
  • Monitor employee performance (KPI) efficiency and effective output while providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, management, and bookkeeping of consumable materials and doing regular inventory, which includes scanners, forklifts, supplies, etc.
  • Resolve any issues raised by team members, to ensure good work environment.
  • Completion of accurate and efficient ADP/Payroll Reports.
  • Screen daily time punches for accuracy on ADP e-time.
  • Prepare weekly payroll-related hour reports for outsourced staffing agencies.
  • Train and enforce employee policies and procedures and keep them updated with all changes of any process or policy addendums.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and ensure compliance with HR procedures.
  • Assist with employee compensation and benefit enrollment process, answer employee questions regarding benefits.
  • Provide continuous direction and guidance to all employees.
  • Compose professional email correspondence with other departments and vendors.
  • Help foster a culture of positive employee relations to improve employee morale, engagement, and retention.
  • Stay informed about local, state, and federal employment laws, and ensure the organization's compliance with these policies and laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two plus years of relevant HR experience (recruiting/training/payroll).
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can pass a 10-panel drug test; No felony record for past 7 years.
  • Has own transportation.
  • Possess strong attention to detail along with strong organizational skills along with being able to multi-task when necessary for various tasks within the company.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
