About the position

The HR Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the HR Department at the new facility in Tomball, TX. This position involves recruiting, maintaining employee records, and serving as a liaison between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking staff. Responsibilities

  • Perform searches for qualified job candidates using various sources.
  • Review and evaluate employment applications to match applicants with job requirements.
  • Interview qualified job applicants and make hiring selections or refer them to managers.
  • Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants.
  • Coordinate with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary employees.
  • Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
  • Schedule and conduct new employee orientations.
  • Prepare employment documents and perform data entry for various HR events.
  • Maintain and update human resources documents such as organizational charts and employee handbooks.
  • Respond to and process employee queries in a timely manner.
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies and regulations.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Assist with organizing company events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist.
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruiting.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment and selection.
  • Solid understanding of Employment Law and appropriate regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Fluency in Mandarin required.
  • Proficiency in professional communication to collaborate effectively with coworkers and other departments.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Capacity to quickly learn required skills.
