About the position

The HR Benefits Specialist at Aspire Health Partners plays a crucial role in managing employee benefits and overseeing the DATIS E3 HR program. This position is responsible for processing various payroll changes, including terminations, new hires, and promotions, ensuring that all benefits enrollments for eligible staff are completed monthly. The specialist will provide assistance to staff regarding any benefits-related questions or issues, maintaining a high level of service and support. Additionally, the role requires meticulous documentation of all benefits changes to ensure compliance with plan regulations. A significant aspect of this position is maintaining compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and conducting audits as necessary. The HR Benefits Specialist will be responsible for sending letters to eligible staff each month and keeping copies for record-keeping purposes. This role also serves as a backup for all areas related to Benefits, Workers' Compensation, and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) matters, ensuring that the HR department operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is not remote, and candidates should be prepared to work on-site at Aspire Health Partners. The HR Benefits Specialist will be an integral part of the HR team, contributing to the overall success of the organization by ensuring that employees receive the benefits they are entitled to and that the company remains compliant with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee employee benefits and the DATIS E3 HR program.
  • Process payroll changes including terminations, new hires, and promotions.
  • Manage benefits enrollments for eligible staff on a monthly basis.
  • Assist staff with any benefits-related questions or issues.
  • Document all benefits changes to maintain compliance with plan regulations.
  • Ensure ACA compliance and conduct audits as necessary.
  • Send letters to eligible staff monthly and maintain records.
  • Serve as backup for Benefits, Workers' Compensation, and FMLA areas.

Requirements

  • Level II Background clearance required.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration preferred.
  • One year of experience in HR insurance benefits, Workers' Compensation, and payroll/human resources software (e.g., ADP) preferred.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Four years of experience in a mid or large size employer human resources department can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ADP or similar payroll/human resources software.
  • Strong communication skills for assisting staff with benefits inquiries.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
