About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Associated Medical Centers of Illinois will play a vital role in managing HR functions across six medical clinics, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and enhancing the employee experience. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to talent management, employee evaluation, and effective use of HR technology, working closely with the HR Manager to support the organization's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment, hiring, and training process in line with company goals.
  • Collect and analyze HR data to support decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Enhance employee morale and experience through position development and retention planning.
  • Manage employee files, ensuring documentation is tracked and filed according to regulations.
  • Update, distribute, and monitor employee handbooks and policies.
  • Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Identify weaknesses in HR systems and develop new methods to promote employee retention.
  • Conduct employee assessments and performance reviews to support company initiatives.
  • Manage employee write-ups and disciplinary matters in compliance with laws and company goals.
  • Oversee employee compensation and benefit plans, including PTO, sick pay, and health insurance.
  • Handle IDES matters such as unemployment reviews and appeals.
  • Manage employee credentialing and maintain business-related licenses.
  • Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate employee compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employee rights and labor laws.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience with Paylocity.
  • 3 years of HR management experience.
  • Strong understanding of employment and labor laws, including ADA, ADEA, OSHA, FMLA, and others.
  • Experience in managing employee compensation and benefits.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with employee assessments and performance reviews.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with sexual harassment training and compliance checks.
