About the position

The Human Resource Specialist will primarily focus on the intake, review, and development of paid time off (PTO) policies for PrestigePEO clients. This role involves collaboration with internal support teams to set up and track PTO, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with clients to facilitate set-up of time off tracking in our systems.
  • Completes PTO questionnaire for submission to Operations team for set up.
  • Collaborates with HR Business Partner to ensure compliance with client time off policies.
  • Assists with drafting, reviewing, and modifying client PTO and related policies to ensure compliance with laws.
  • Makes recommendations on client policies to maintain compliance with employment laws related to paid time off.
  • Audits, reviews, and troubleshoots discrepancies with policies and PTO setup in the system.
  • Stays updated on changes in regulations regarding paid time off and sick leave laws.
  • Fosters teamwork and a positive work environment through collaboration with internal teams.
  • Attends and participates in assigned training initiatives.
  • Performs other HR projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years HR Generalist experience.
  • Three (3) years' experience working with and communicating PTO policies in a multi-state organization.
  • Bachelor's degree (business administration or human resources) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Multi State Paid time off and Paid Sick Leave requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Prism, Timeco and/or Kronos.
