About the position

The HR Specialist at Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners is responsible for managing the full cycle of recruitment and talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain HR records and systems while ensuring a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The HR Specialist acts as the voice of the company, ensuring effective communication with candidates and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Place ads on various job boards.
  • Call and screen candidates, performing first and second round interviews.
  • Schedule interviews with hiring managers and track all related systems.
  • Assist with onboarding and training plans for new employees.
  • Maintain HR records and systems.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all candidates.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of external candidates, building a database of contacts and resources.
  • Attend job fairs.
  • Verify and check employment references and backgrounds.
  • Assist and coordinate onboarding of new hires, including training, compliance, and orientation.
  • Maintain, file, track, and update employee files in HR database/systems.
  • Perform other office and departmental duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Current experience in HR administration or related positions, with 5+ years preferred.
  • College degree preferred or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of organizational abilities and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent in MS Office.
  • Strong negotiation and problem resolution skills required.
  • Good business acumen required.
  • Strong customer service focus, building relationships with internal and external customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and concepts, including quality, engineering, and production planning/scheduling.
