About the position

As a Human Resources (HR) Specialist at Ascend Learning, you will play a crucial role in fostering a high-performance culture and supporting various HR initiatives. You will collaborate closely with senior-level Human Resource Business Partners and business leaders to align HR support with strategic objectives, contributing to the overall development and success of our workforce. In this position, you will assist in the implementation of HR strategies that support business objectives. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with HR team members on various functions such as recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations. You will provide HR support to employees on a range of topics, helping to resolve issues and ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing HR data to inform decision-making processes, ensuring that the organization remains compliant and effective in its HR practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the implementation of HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Collaborating with HR team members on recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Providing HR support to employees on various topics and resolving issues.
  • Collecting and analyzing HR data to inform decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or other areas combined with relevant work experience is preferred, equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR support role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions including employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • High level of discretion and ethical approach to HR.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • HRCI or SHRM HR certification preferred.
