About the position

The HR Specialist at Orion Solutions LLC is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. This role requires a solid understanding of full cycle recruiting and aims to foster a healthy workplace by ensuring HR procedures run smoothly. The HR Specialist will prepare compensation and benefits packages, maintain updated employee records, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and onboarding of employees, including creating job requisitions and coordinating pre-employment activities.
  • Generate necessary reports for payroll and HR, coordinating all HR-related documents for job/employee status changes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate various training programs in compliance with OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and assist with employee relations issues and vendor/supplier communication.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure rules, regulations, and CBA information is reviewed and understood.
  • Assist with employee recognition programs.
  • Participate in various aspects of safety, including safety audits and delivery of training programs.
  • Compile and analyze monthly and annual statistics, preparing and distributing various reports.
  • Assist the HR Manager with Community Engagement activities and other corporate initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with standard HR concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and related systems (Workday, ATS, ADP, eTime, PeopleSoft, etc.).
  • Intermediate knowledge of employment law and OSHA reporting.
