The Human Resources Specialist at Cabela's will play a pivotal role in leading onsite HR initiatives that support both leadership and Outfitters within the store. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including staffing, training, engagement, orientation, onboarding, and ensuring administrative excellence. The HR Specialist will work closely with the General Manager to assist with various administrative functions as needed, ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the HR Specialist is expected to uphold a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring that all customers have a pleasant and productive shopping experience. Acting as a brand ambassador, the HR Specialist will represent the culture of the organization, driving retention and fostering a positive working environment across all departments. The position involves facilitating the hiring and staffing process for hourly Outfitters, ensuring that training is completed and monitored effectively. The HR Specialist will also be responsible for processing and auditing all employment actions within the HRIS, Payroll, and Scheduling systems for hourly Outfitters. Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information is crucial, as is assisting in planning and implementing associate recognition activities in collaboration with the General Manager. The role includes communicating HR-related policies and practices from the company, maintaining compliance, and keeping accurate records of legal posters and notices. Additionally, the HR Specialist will provide guidance and support for performance management, the annual review process, and succession planning for hourly Outfitters. They will respond to and resolve first-level outfitter issues, partnering with the Senior HR Manager or Employee Relations Department for guidance on escalated issues. Administrative duties such as processing invoices, managing expenses, ordering store supplies, and coordinating travel for store Outfitters and leaders will also be part of the job responsibilities. The HR Specialist may be assigned other duties as needed.
