About the position

IDR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a remote contract role with a top Healthcare client in Rochester, MN. This position focuses on designing and building resilient, scalable back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications, utilizing cloud computing, big data, and machine learning frameworks. The role emphasizes collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective code and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build resilient, scalable back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications using cloud computing, big data, and machine learning frameworks.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, and various teams to translate requirements into code, participate in design and architecture discussions, and effectively communicate with peers and stakeholders.
• Develop services around data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, and machine learning. Ensure comprehensive documentation, participate in DevOps and Agile practices, and perform expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Lead targeted cross-functional improvement efforts, mentor junior software engineers, solve complex problems, and independently lead projects or project steps within broader initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software development (Prefers Masters degree in computer science/engineering).
• 5+ years of experience in GCP, specifically Cloud Run, GCP operations suite, VPCs, and Networking.
• 4+ years of experience with Google Cloud, API architectures, .NET core applications, and Github.
• GCP Certification is a huge plus.
