About the position

The HR Service Specialist role at a leading Semiconductor Company in Austin, TX, is designed to provide comprehensive support to employees regarding HR services and administrative procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to responding to inquiries through various channels, ensuring that employees are well-informed about the HR services available to them. The specialist will utilize multiple systems to document requests and track the status of inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employee needs. In this role, the HR Service Specialist will log and supervise requests directed to the HR Service Center (HRSC), advising employees on the status of their inquiries. A key responsibility is to educate employees on self-service tools, such as the HR Portal, to empower them to find solutions independently. The specialist will also be tasked with researching and resolving issues, often managing multiple cases simultaneously while prioritizing requests based on urgency and importance. The position requires a strong focus on compliance, as the specialist will maintain all necessary requirements for dedicated HR shared service processes. This includes performing duties that meet or exceed service level agreements and identifying potential improvements in processes to enhance service delivery efficiency. The HR Service Specialist will also participate in training sessions to stay updated on HR policies and procedures, contributing to a global knowledge base for assigned projects. Overall, this role is pivotal in driving employee satisfaction and performance by delivering high-quality HR services and maintaining effective communication with employees.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to questions on administrative procedures and practices via multiple channels.
  • Log and supervise requests and inquiries raised to HRSC and advise requesters of the status of requests.
  • Educate employees on HR Services available to them and encourage the use of self-service tools.
  • Research and resolve problems in a timely manner, managing multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Probe cases to resolve the root cause of issues or questions to provide accurate answers.
  • Identify and research incoming queries from employees, ensuring documentation meets policy requirements.
  • Utilize multiple online systems to answer questions and complete requests.
  • Work independently on routine tasks while contributing to the maintenance and improvement of HR services.
  • Maintain compliance requirements of dedicated HR shared service processes and meet service level agreements.
  • Attend required training sessions to stay updated on HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree in HR or business preferred.
  • Experience in ServiceNow is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity.
  • Experience writing training documents and SOPs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and work prioritization skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
