About the position

The HR Specialist at MHD-ROCKLAND INC. is responsible for managing all HR functions across the company's branches in the USA, Australia, and New Zealand. This role involves fostering employee engagement, maintaining high retention rates, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and local regulations. Responsibilities

• Foster employee engagement and proactively address issues.
• Assist management in maintaining high employee retention and addressing performance issues.
• Adapt and administer HR policies, programs, and processes for various locations.
• Attract qualified candidates and support hiring managers through the selection and hiring process.
• Coordinate onboarding sessions and follow up on employee integration.
• Administer performance and salary review processes.
• Educate employees on available benefits and ensure competitive offerings.
• Coordinate training and ensure compliance with local health & safety regulations.
• Prepare internal communications and maintain HR files and systems.
• Work on special projects and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources Management.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and HR systems.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Demonstrated compassion, good interpersonal relations, problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, confidentiality, discretion, flexibility, analytical abilities, planning, and judgment.

Nice-to-haves

• CHRP designation is an asset.
• Valid passport and ability to travel periodically.
