About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) will oversee the entire employee life cycle, from recruitment to exit, while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. This entry-level position involves building relationships with community partners to source talent for Dickies Arena and ensuring effective communication of HR policies and procedures across management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding for new employees through the applicant tracking system and in-person orientations.
  • Manage all aspects of staffing from hiring to onboarding to termination of employees.
  • Develop and maintain positive rapport with management teams to understand onboarding and training processes.
  • Build strong professional relationships with staff by being present during shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.
  • Stay updated on labor laws and best practices.
  • Support business initiatives requiring HR & Payroll support.
  • Participate in TDMC meetings and events as required.
  • Maintain professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Promote a unified, team-oriented atmosphere in communications and actions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service internally and externally.
  • Organize and manage personnel recordkeeping functions.
  • Maintain accurate data in HRIS and Recruiting/Onboarding software.
  • Assist in maintaining employee personnel files.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and procedural support as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong inclination for responsiveness and customer service during correspondence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong teamwork aptitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong process and procedure knowledge for continuous improvements.
  • Ability to deal with deadlines and pressure situations.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision and maximum accountability.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
