About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Rite of Passage is responsible for overseeing all HR functions at the Sierra Sage Treatment Center and affiliated locations. This role is crucial in ensuring that HR goals and objectives are met while supporting the mission of improving the lives of at-risk youth. The position requires a commitment to empathy, respect, and a strong understanding of employment law and HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Human Resources functions for the site.
• Ensure that Human Resources goals and objectives are met.
• Support the site Program Director and Regional Human Resources Director.
• Interview potential employees as required.
• Maintain knowledge of basic employment law and HR policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree or some college education preferred.
• Knowledge of basic employment law and Human Resources policies and practices.
• Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to interview potential employees.
• Current State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar HR role.
• Familiarity with HR software and systems.
