The Human Resources Specialist at MarketSource is a pivotal role responsible for managing various HR functions at a professional level, engaging with all employees across the organization, including directors, managers, and hourly staff. This position is integral to ensuring compliance with HR policies and processes, particularly in areas such as worker's compensation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and personal unpaid leaves of absence. The HR Specialist will oversee the daily operations related to these areas, ensuring that all employees receive the necessary support and guidance regarding their HR-related inquiries and needs. In this role, the HR Specialist will act as the primary administrator of HR policies and processes, which includes managing HRIS functions, handling worker's compensation claims, and facilitating accommodations and leaves of absence. The specialist will be responsible for triaging incoming communications from employees regarding worker's compensation claims, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and promptly. This includes establishing and maintaining workers' compensation data in relevant systems and coordinating with vendors and adjusters to manage claims effectively. The HR Specialist will also play a crucial role in counseling employees about their rights and options under the ADA, providing recommendations for accommodations, and ensuring that all leave requests are processed in accordance with company policies.
