About the position

The HR Specialist plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining effective human resources practices within our dynamic web design and marketing company. This position is responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with legal requirements. The HR Specialist will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and foster a positive work culture. Additionally, they will oversee the recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding new hires, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all employees. The HR Specialist will also serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters and facilitating training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Develop and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development activities to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about current HR trends, best practices, and legal developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a technology or creative industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
