About the position

The HR Specialist (Recruiting & Onboarding) at DTG Recycle is responsible for managing the recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires into the organization. This role plays a crucial part in attracting top talent while supporting various HR functions and initiatives. The position emphasizes sustainability and community impact, aligning with the company's values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
• Consult and collaborate with managers/directors to identify and understand the requirements for vacant positions.
• Conduct phone and face-to-face interviews for candidates as needed.
• Compose detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria.
• Track permanent job postings through job boards and screen resumes for hiring managers.
• Maintain compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws.
• Manage the onboarding process, including communication with new hires and completion of necessary documents in HRIS.
• Prepare and distribute onboarding materials, including company policies and training schedules.
• Conduct orientation sessions to introduce new hires to company culture and values.
• Provide HR support to employees and managers.
• Assist in preparing HR communications such as posters and flyers.
• Support ongoing HR initiatives and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Spanish proficiency required.
• 1-3 years' experience in Human Resources preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using an HRIS system and applicant tracking system (ADP preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
