About the position

Digital Global Connectors (DGC) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist / HR Generalist to join our team. This full-time position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Tysons, VA. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist / HR Generalist, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and recruiting top talent for positions in the Government Contracting Industry. Your role will be crucial in finding candidates with the skills, experience, and expertise necessary to meet the unique needs of our government clients. You will work closely with the Director of HR, Director of Operations, and Hiring Managers to understand their hiring needs and support targeted recruitment strategies. In this dynamic environment, you will utilize various sourcing techniques, including networking, social media, and job boards, to identify and engage with potential candidates. Your responsibilities will include conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to offer acceptance, and will be expected to build and maintain an engaged pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future government contracting positions. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of the Government Contracting Industry and the unique challenges of recruiting within this sector. You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of sourcing and attracting top talent, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with candidates and collaborate effectively with internal team members. The ideal candidate will be an agile self-starter with excellent time management skills who thrives in a highly dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for government contracting positions, predominantly in Cybersecurity and Information Technology industry
  • Utilize various sourcing techniques, including networking, social media, and job boards, to passively and actively identify and engage with potential candidates
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates' interpersonal and technical skills, experience, and fit for specific government contracting roles
  • Collaborate with Director of HR, Director of Operations, and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs and develop targeted recruitment plans
  • Build and maintain an engaged pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future government contracting positions
  • Maintain internal recruiting communication boards
  • Write and post job descriptions on relevant platforms
  • Tailor the recruiting approach as needed to achieve results
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from first sourcing to offer acceptance
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • On-board and train new employees
  • Implement company culture, values and policies
  • Provide management with requested reports and documents
  • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition
  • Assist with running the daily functions of the HR Department including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding staff, benefits, and leave, managing employee records, HR Compliance, drafting and enforcing HR and Company policies, procedures, and processes, handling employee communications, etc
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
  • Interpret data, run reports, and speak to key stakeholders as needed
  • Coordinate and assist with corporate events such as conferences, happy hours, parties, team building events
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned or required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • One year of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in the Government Contracting and/or IT / Cybersecurity / Engineering industries
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Skilled in data gathering, consistent metric tracking, and report preparation
  • Adept at working autonomously with flexibility, particularly in showing initiative, managing multiple tasks, and applying sound judgment to resolve issues

Nice-to-haves

  • B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration or Related Field
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software
  • Prior experience related to IT & Cybersecurity
