About the position

The Video Production Co-op at MassDOT is a full-time position aimed at creative individuals eager to learn about public service and government organizations. The role focuses on producing high-quality video content for various internal and external marketing campaigns, supporting onboarding videos, and enhancing employee engagement. The co-op will work closely with the HR Program Director and the Video Production Assistant, contributing to a diverse range of communications products that impact the agency's workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of a video content strategy.
  • Support video production activities including camera operation, lighting, and editing.
  • Assist with the planning, production, editing, and posting of video content.
  • Create transcriptions and subtitling for new and existing content.
  • Coordinate content reviews and approvals.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Support video accessibility and optimization according to WCAG standards.
  • Travel to filming locations across Massachusetts as needed.
  • Keep the video production area clean and organized on site.
  • Collaborate with Division and Headquarters teams to execute company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects).
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in video production and editing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
