About the position

Are you a natural problem solver with a propensity for digging deeper into the 'what-ifs' of a complex situation? We are looking for an HRIS professional; one who is an active participant and analyst, asking all the right questions and thinking up and down stream in partnership with collaborative teams. If you love thinking more broadly and are passionate about working cross-functionally with others to ensure comprehensive solutions to multifaceted problems, this might be the role for you. Ideally, you will also have Workday HCM experience, supporting configurations, upgrades, and annual HR processes. You will be responsible for overall system performance, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, security, upgrades, user experience and testing of 3rd party applications that support core Human Resources functions. This includes optimizing performance of our systems, gathering data and making recommendations based on business needs, reporting, issue resolution, integrations, maintenance and other HR/technical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and technical support for general maintenance, data integrity, issue resolution and process improvements to optimize system functionality and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and HRIS technical resource for implementation of annual HR programs and business processes, such as compliance reporting, open enrollment, performance management and compensation administration activities.
  • Use functional HR and technical knowledge to create, update, and maintain system configurations in alignment with company policies, practices, initiatives, and legal requirements.
  • Manage HRIS security protocols to ensure appropriate access levels are maintained and implemented as designed.
  • Conduct training, including development of user procedures, guidelines and documentation of new and existing system functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Technology team and other corporate functions that could have impact on HCM business processes, configuration, or data.
  • Support the analysis and troubleshooting of vendor issues in a timely manner and review and implement any necessary changes according to business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and technical stability, make operational or strategic recommendations as applicable, and lead efforts to implement.
  • Provide analytical and technical support for the implementation, administration and testing of HR system upgrades.
  • Mentor and coach peers and HR Shared Services roles on business processes, systems configuration, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or direct and applicable work experience.
  • 2+ years experience supporting an HRIS system, including testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong functional knowledge of key HR business processes (onboarding, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, etc.).
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to consult with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially advanced functions in Excel.
  • Exceptional discretion and judgment to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Workday HCM
  • Experience with Smart Recruiters and/or Cornerstone
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working (SAFe)
